About this project

Pitch

ByteChef is an open-source, low-code platform for building API integrations and automating workflows. Think of it as a developer-friendly, self-hostable alternative to tools like Zapier and Make. It lets you connect apps and services, orchestrate multi-step automations, and embed integration capabilities directly into your own products. You can design workflows visually with a drag-and-drop editor, or extend them with code when you need full control. ByteChef is built for developers and teams who want the speed of no-code without giving up flexibility, ownership, and the ability to host everything themselves. Because it's open source, you avoid vendor lock-in and can adapt it to your exact needs.

Why we're launching this

From the team
We built ByteChef because integrating apps and automating workflows shouldn't mean locking yourself into a closed SaaS or wrestling with brittle scripts. We wanted something open source, self-hostable, and flexible enough for developers, yet fast enough for anyone to use. We're launching now to share it with the community and grow it together.
