1. Data controller

2. What we collect

• Account data — email, hashed password, username, display name, bio, optional links and images you provide
• Content you submit — projects, comments, upvotes
• Usage logs — IP, timestamp, page accessed. Retained for 30 days for security and debugging.

3. Why we process it

• To run your account and deliver the Service (contract basis)
• To moderate the platform and prevent abuse (legitimate interest)
• To respond to your messages (legitimate interest)

4. Cookies and tracking

Only essential cookies for sign-in. No analytics or advertising trackers.

5. Third parties

• Hosting — the database runs on our own VPS; the web app is served via our chosen platform when in production.
• Payments (when applicable) — LemonSqueezy Inc. acts as Merchant of Record and processes payment data per their own privacy policy.
• We do not sell your data to anyone.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You can:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct or update it
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data
• Object to specific processing
• Lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD)

To exercise any of these, email privacy@thisismyproject.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

7. Retention

• Account data — kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Published content (projects, comments) — kept as part of the public record unless you request deletion.
• Server logs — 30 days.

8. International transfers

If you’re outside Spain, your data is processed in Spain and may be transferred to our service providers listed above.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced on the Service.
