About this project

Pitch

Refine Text is a macOS app that helps you improve your writing from anywhere on your Mac. Most of the time, you already know what you want to say. The hard part is making it sound clear, polished, professional, friendly, or concise. Refine Text removes that friction. Instead of opening another AI tool, copying your text, pasting it, asking for a rewrite, copying the result, and going back to your original app, Refine Text lets you improve text directly from your workflow. Just select any text, press a keyboard shortcut, choose how you want to refine it, and get a better version in seconds. You can use Refine Text for emails, messages, notes, documents, social posts, customer replies, AI prompts, and everyday writing. Whether you want to fix grammar, make your text more professional, shorten a long sentence, improve clarity, or turn a rough prompt into a better AI prompt, Refine Text helps you do it quickly. The goal is not to replace your writing. The goal is to improve what you already wrote. Write the rough version first. Select it. Refine it. Move on. No copy-paste. No switching tabs. No breaking your flow. Refine Text is built for people who write throughout the day and want a faster way to clean up their words without leaving the app they are already using. Stop rewriting the same sentence five times. Use Refine Text and move on.

Why we're launching this

From the team
I built Refine Text because I was tired of rewriting the same sentence five times. Select text anywhere on your Mac, press a shortcut, and get a cleaner version in seconds. No copy-paste. No switching tabs. No breaking your flow. I’d love feedback from the Product Hunt community, especially on: Which rewrite modes would you use most? Does the shortcut-based workflow feel useful? What would make this worth paying for? Thanks for checking it out.
