About this project

Pitch

Who Goes is an iOS party game app built for people sitting together in the same room. It brings Charades, Headbands, Truth or Dare, Spin the Bottle, Would You Rather, and quick group games into one shared-screen experience for game nights, house parties, road trips, family gatherings, office icebreakers, and casual hangouts. The idea behind Who Goes is simple: a lot of social moments start with everyone together, but slowly turn into everyone doing their own thing on their own phone. Who Goes? uses one phone or iPad as the centre of the game, so the group has something fun, silly, and shared to play together. Instead of typing everyone’s names, passing the phone around, or arguing over who goes first, players can place their fingers on the screen and let the app pick someone from the group. The glowing circles, haptics, sounds, and animations make even the small moment of choosing a player feel playful. Who Goes is not just a random picker. It is built as a full party game app with multiple game modes designed for different kinds of groups and moods. In Charades, players act out words from themed decks like Bollywood, Movies, Pop Culture, and Iconic Music while their team tries to guess before the timer runs out. In Headbands, one player holds the phone to their forehead and guesses the word on the screen while everyone else gives clues. Tilt down when you get it right, tilt up to pass, and keep the round moving. In Truth or Dare, the group can pick a player, choose truth or dare, and play from themed packs for friends, couples, parties, family, and the office. The intensity can be adjusted from chill to wild, so the same game can work for different settings. Spin the Bottle brings the classic party game into a quick, no-setup format. Gather around, flick the bottle, and let it decide who is up next. Would You Rather helps break the ice with funny, difficult, and sometimes impossible choices that get people debating out loud. Quick Play includes small tools for fast group decisions, like Roll the Dice, Coin Flip, Quick Pick, Elimination, Teams, and Order. These are useful when the group needs to pick someone, split into teams, set the turn order, eliminate players one by one, or settle something quickly without overthinking it. Who Goes is made for friends, couples, families, classmates, coworkers, and anyone who wants to make a group moment more fun. It works especially well when people are already together and need a simple way to start playing. What makes Who Goes different is the shared-screen interaction. Most party apps either make every person use their own phone or feel like a static list of prompts. Who Goes? is designed around one device in the middle, with everyone participating together. The app starts the game, but the fun comes from the people playing. I built Who Goes independently in SwiftUI, including the design, game flows, interactions, animations, and content. The app uses native SwiftUI animations, haptics, sounds, SceneKit, and shaders to make the experience feel polished, playful, and alive. Who Goes Plus unlocks every game mode, all Truth or Dare packs, themes, fonts, and customization options. The app offers monthly, yearly, and lifetime options, with a free trial on the yearly plan. At its core, Who Goes is built for the moments people remember later: bad acting, loud guesses, unnecessary arguments, funny dares, impossible choices, and everyone laughing at the same thing.

Why we're launching this

From the team
I built Who Goes after noticing how often game nights slowly turn into everyone doing their own thing on their own phone. One night, Charades changed the whole mood with bad acting, loud guesses, inside jokes, and silly arguments. I wanted to bring more of that back through one shared screen, with party games that get everyone playing together.
